Start saving your pennies. The newest iPhone could cost you more than a thousand bucks!
It's only February, but people are already looking forward to the special 10th anniversary edition of the iPhone, which is expected to be launched in the fall. But we all know that such a highly regarded and sought after product comes with a hefty price tag.
According to Business Insider, Apple is expected to launch not one, not two, but THREE new iPhones next year. The most expensive of the lot would have a new kind of screen, an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Display) screen instead of the usual LED. OLED screens are known for having better battery efficiency, vivid colors, and darker blacks.
It sounds like the ultimate phone, doesn't it?! The only downside is it will most likely burn through your savings.
BUT! It's not quite as far-fetched as it may come across. Consider this: a fully loaded iPhone 7 plus already costs $969. With the rumored features the new iPhone will have, it doesn't seem as bad to shell out a few more bucks.
For a phone that people believe would be called the iPhone X and would cost $1000, here's what you'll (maybe) get:
- A 5.8 inch OLED screen
- Wireless charging capabilities
- Brand spanking new design, possibly an all-glass one
- New colors! We might have red and blue this time around.
- 3D-sensing technology that analysts predict could be used in a variety of ways: user authentication, better image resolution for the camera or even some sort of augmented reality!
All of these are, of course, merely speculation. Fall couldn't come fast enough!
